What do you crave?

Over the last week, DNS has been talking about Fast Food because Fast Food is very big in Deniliquin that it could be the #1 shop industry in town and there’s been lots of action there as well.

With Central Pizza now in chaos, Pizza lovers who craved a Satore family made Pizza has to look for new options until they return or somebody else takes the mantle of providing the best Pizzas in town.

So you got the other Pizza outlets, Thai Food, Malaysian Food, Chinese Food, Sushi, Fish and Chips, McDonalds, Subway and almost everything but the kitchen sink of other stuff to choose from.

Yesterday got people talking about Fast Food options and Hungry Jacks and KFC came up as two desires, both require a trip to Victoria (Civilization as some put it) to satisfy those desires.

Say either of them happen, where would you put a HJ’s or KFC? Would KFC go back to it’s old locale or somewhere new? Would you try putting it on the North side or perhaps an empty shop could have it like those little outlets they have in shopping centres etc.

Of course Echuca and Moama are probably wishing none of the above paragraph happens because it deprives them of business since Deni people love traveling over there to get a meal and other stuff, it is pretty much standard for somebody to go to Echuca or Moama for a meal and have friends or family throw in an order for you to bring back meaning extra $$$ for Echuca and Moama.

What is the readers choice of a takeaway meal? Where is the place you get your meal from that absolutely satisfies you? What would you like to see open in the future? Let us know by commenting on FB or here and remember to keep it PG.

A change in the Algae situation?

There is a new update available for those who are eagerly awaiting the death of the Blue-Green Algae that is plaguing the River systems in New South Wales and Victoria.

The levels at Billabong Creek in Conargo are reading as steady and it is still steady in the mid sections of the Wakool River however it is decreasing at Kyalite.

Meanwhile at Gulpa Creek and the Edward River (Mathoura to Moulamein) levels are steady in the mid sections but it is decreasing at Moulamein.

Southern NSW is finally seeing Amber and Green icons on the map provided by the NSW Office of Water/Department of Primary Industries after weeks of seeing nothing but red symbols indicating Red Alert status.

So could this all mean that the crisis is starting to go away or will it be a never ending cycle of alerts until the suspected cause which is the Murray-Darling Basin Plan is reworked or abolished? We hope it is the first thought.

World Autism Awareness Day

World Autism Awareness Day is on today (April 2) and for many Deniliquin residents it is an important day for they or somebody they know has Autism.

Autism is something that has no certain pattern, it could be that they have trouble socialising with people, unsure what people are feeling or they talk too long about topics that people those listening have no interest in at all.

Gestures and body language may not be used the same way everyone else does and some with Autism do things in set patterns from walking from A to B and how they set up their room and other locations.

A person can also be rattled by a sudden loud burst of sound and bright lights can bother them and also being touched can suddenly upset them as well.

Those with Autism are also considered to be quite intelligent with an excellent grasp of topics and fantastic memory, something that many people wish they had as they go about their daily business.

Days like today are made to educate people and today the colour Blue is used to signify World Autism Awareness Day, so if you have a blue light or blue clothing make sure you wear them on this important day.

Below is two of the many pages on Autism where you can find out more about Autism and World Autism Awareness Day.

Coach House now on the web (2016)

The Coach House Hotel/Motel now has it’s own website for those looking to stay or visit there at any time.

The site is still under construction but you can find out information on what kind of rooms are there, how many are available, what is available to eat, download a menu, see their Facebook and Instagram pages and of course know where the Coach House is and how to contact them.

Pictures are of good quality so prospective visitors will be able to see all areas of the Hotel/Motel in detail allowing them to make a well informed decision on staying there.

Still under construction is the ‘What’s On @ Coachie’ and ‘Do It In Deni’ sections but when they are complete there is no doubt the site will be one of the most informative in Deniliquin.

Check it out today at coachhousehotelmotel.com
