DNS tries out ‘That Pizza’

As written about earlier today, That Pizza is now open for business and so DNS taken the opportunity tonight to go out, buy and then eat one of the Pizzas from the menu.

Our man of many talents Daniel Clark stepped up to the plate to test out how well they can make a BBQ Meatlovers Pizza.

It wasn’t long before the verdict was in, the BBQ Meatlovers Pizza from That Pizza was judged to taste ‘F**king Amazing’.

The only critique that we can offer is that the box was flimsy and the Pizza was missing the Pizza Saver (the white table you see on a Pizza) and so some of the topping ended up on the top of box but overall the experience was everything our Pizza guru hoped for.

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, DNS tried and enjoyed the pizza from That Pizza and if you want to buy and try some too, visit their website to take a look at their menu then give them a call on 5881 8480 or go on down to 396 Cressy Street to place your order.

May you the reader encounter an enjoyable experience when you order a Pizza in the future.

New shop revealed

For the last week, DNS readers have been wondering what the big purple sign ‘That’s Coming’ meant on the wrapped up shop on the corner of Cressy and Hardinge Streets.

Now that the wrapping has been taken down, new signs have been put up and the moment that has been promised as coming has now arrived and the name of the new business is ‘That Pizza’.

With ‘That Pizza’ coming on the scene, Deniliquin will have two pizza shops open once again giving people an option when it comes to their pizza.

The business name is a really creative name and it is a name that has positivity because everyone wants a business or an object that is considered ‘That (insert name or object here)’ like some of the examples below

‘That Red Dress’
‘That Ford Mustang’
‘That Restaurant’
‘That Electronics store’

Nick Dawson who is the creator and owner of “That Pizza” is a local to Deniliquin man and has many years of experience in the pizza business in a career that began in his early high school years working with his family down at Green Pepper Pizza.

Joining Nick at ‘That Pizza’ is his cousin Paul and the two aim to be showcasing their tradition/passion to bring back “That Pizza” that the residents of Deniliquin have been waiting for.

With a focus on a gourmet selection Nick has stated that this is just the beginning of an exciting new venture as he plans to bring a flavour to please a variety palates.

For more information on ‘That Pizza’ visit their website at thatpizza.com.au and see their phone number, trading hours and their extensive menu.

They also have a Facebook page for readers to like and visit at anytime.

We wish ‘That Pizza’ good fortune for the future and may Pizza lovers of Deniliquin once again get to eat the finest pizzas for a long time to come.

The Deni Pokemon Wrap (1/11/16)

Pokémon Go Deniliquin

Pokémon Go Deniliquin has lost one member and is now at 183 members.

The Group is the place to go when you want to know everything local about Pokémon Go.

Recent group activity is still at zero but word is that people will be playing it again real soon and we’ll be reporting on news as it comes to hand.

For those who want to see memes, stats and other news visit the Pokémon Go page that has almost 2.82 million likes or this one that has 2.3 million likes.

Pokémon Shuffle News

Past and present locals have continued to have made progress on Pokémon Shuffle.

Our two regular gamers Boony and Tiggy are doing well with Boony defeating Mega Aerodactyl on Stage 180 and is now up to Stage 184 on Pokemon Shuffle Mobile but Tiggy has encountered resistance and is still on Stage 230 on the 3DS version of the game.

Boony and Tiggy as you know are racing each other on the mobile version with Boony on Stage 184 and Tiggy has moved up to Stage 158 and we will continue to follow the race as it progresses.

A third local Pokemon Shuffle player is reportedly up to around Stage 153 which is a great
achievement and we hope to find more players in the near future and have a weekly tally.

It is now firmly believed that the mobile version of the game is easier to get through than the 3DS version of the game.

Pokemon Sun and Moon

The release of both Pokemon Sun and Moon is now just 17 days away from being able to be played in their entirety by Pokemon fans.

We’ll be back next week with a new edition of The Deni Pokemon Wrap.

Residents want Air Service

A DNS poll conducted over the last week has revealed that residents want a Deniliquin to Melbourne return air service.

The question that was asked to readers was ‘Would you support a Deniliquin to Melbourne daily air service?’ and the Yes vote was the vote of choice with 82% of the vote.

This data will be helping those who are pushing for an air service and we will be keeping an eye on developments as a service would open up traveling options to Victoria’s capital and vice versa.

If readers have any suggestions for the next website poll, feel free to leave a message anytime on our FB page.

Halloween is coming

Tomorrow is Halloween and what was once ‘An American Thing’ has now grown into an afternoon and evening of people having fun right around the world.

Kids, teens and maybe a couple of supervising adults will be roaming the streets of Deniliquin from tomorrow afternoon all dressed up in their finest spooky (or homage paying) outfits and asking the question of questions when it comes to Halloween ‘Trick or Treat’.

There will be homes around town that will welcome any trick or treaters for a couple of hours and there is a Facebook page dedicated to Halloween in the local area that has addresses of places that are happy to receive trick or treaters.

The page with local information is called ‘Halloween In & Around Deniliquin‘ and the number of likes are growing  even as this is being written ensuring that by tomorrow afternoon when everyone sets out people will have the best possible information to maximise enjoyment.

Another indicator apart from the page that somebody is receptive to Trick or Treaters tomorrow afternoon is that their front yard will have some sort of Halloween decoration (Orange balloons etc) as a signal that they are welcoming people.

In honour of tomorrow enjoy the classic song ‘Monster Mash’ and may everyone have a great Halloween no matter how they spend it.
