World Sandwich Day a big success

Our local Subway had a busy day yesterday and many locals taken advantage of the opportunity to buy a wrap, salad or sub and get a second one of equal or lesser value.

As reported earlier, the promotion was part of World Sandwich Day, a day in which Subway donated a meal to Foodbank Australia for every meal that was purchased in their stores.

300 meals worth of food will be given to Foodbank Australia on behalf of the customers that came in and ordered a meal from our local Subway.

The people of Deniliquin are congratulated on their wholehearted support of the day and its good cause and congratulations must go out to the staff of Subway Deniliquin for serving their customers so many fine meals.

World Sandwich Day is on this Friday (November 3) and customers at our local Subway have a chance to participate.

All customers have to do is go in and purchase a Sub, Wrap or Salad and they will receive a second one of equal or lesser value so you can eat one sub/wrap/salad and save the other one for later or give it to a friend.

But that’s not all, every purchase means that Subway will donate on your behalf a meal to Foodbank Australia and 100% of the proceeds raised by Subway in Australia stays in Australia.

Foodbank Australia provided enough food to make 60 million meals last year and they have already provided 495 Million meals to Australians since their inception.

Foodbank Australia started in NSW back in 1992 and have grown to have 100 employees and over 3,000 volunteers and serve everyone from charities to schools.

Subway Deniliquin hopes that many locals will take up this offer in order to help assist those who need food the most.
