Thoughts

The team that keeps their composure and works as a team the best will be Premiers because in most of the competition, The last couple of contests between the Grand Finalists have been close and so it will be the little things that will decide the outcome.

Regardless of the outcomes on Grand Final Day, It has been a great 2016 for the Rovers and all efforts by players, officials, their families and their supporters must be applauded.

We wish all participants a well contested Grand Final that is played fairly and without any major injuries to players from any participating side.

Rovers Talk will be back this weekend with all the results in the final regular Rovers Talk edition for 2016.

The Deni Pokémon Wrap (30/8/16)

Pokémon Go Deniliquin

Pokémon Go Deniliquin is now back up to  184 members.

All seems quiet in the group in the last week either everyone is busy or the game is losing its popularity due to all the changes the game makers have made.

For those who want to see memes, stats and other news visit the Pokémon Go page that has almost 2.5 million likes.

Pokémon Shuffle News

Only one of our intrepid Pokémon Shuffle players got to play in the last week and he managed to beat Level 219 (wrongly said 213 last week) and is now stuck on Level 220.

How did he manage it? He had two game jewels left and enough coins to buy five more moves so he used the regular moves, the five he brought and used one jewel to get five more moves to win with three to spare.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Expert and Special Mode provides the Pokémon needed to advance further.

Pokémon Shuffle is free on Nintendo’s eShop and Apple App Store and other locations.

We’ll be back next week with a new edition of The Deni Pokémon Wrap.

Local stomachs still rumble for KFC

The call for KFC to return to Deniliquin is once again making it’s way across the internet.

Deniliquin loves KFC, It misses KFC and it has ever since the store closed in 2010.

The biggest proof of the desire is that one local declared his belief that KFC be brought back and over 50 people liked the post and it continues to this point of time (Aug 30).

How does Deniliquin still have a desire for KFC after so long? It’s simple because people travel over the Murray to get their KFC fix and when that’s around 45 minutes to go one way that is pure and simple dedication to satisfying the stomachs of one or many.

Of course many questions would have to be asked such as can be KFC be viable? Where would they put it and many more questions but if little stores can exist in shopping centres then one can easily make it in Deniliquin.

Echuca on the other hand are probably hoping KFC does not return to town so Deniliquin residents keep travelling on down, do some shopping and perhaps see a Movie before getting their Chicken and going on home.

Our advice fellow KFC eaters, Get somebody to make a nice change.org petition addressed to KFC and Edward River Council and then spread it around social media and see what you get.

H. Gardiner, H. Mowat and B. Redden all kicked a goal in the loss that has brought the Rovers season to an end after a great season.

Thoughts

Six Rovers teams are through to the Grand Final which is an impressive total out of the eleven teams that started their 2016 season.

Commiserations are with the Rovers Fourths Football team and the B Grade Netball team today but they should be proud of the fact they made it all the way to the Preliminary Final and were one of the top 4 sides of 2016.

Rovers Talk will be back next Thursday with all the Grand Final information and more.
