There are times where we got a lot of waste and we want to properly dispose of it all in one go some weekend in time but getting everything together can be a costly exercise particularly if the removal of waste exceeds the allocation of free or cheap landfill disposal.
Thankfully on the 18th and 19th of this month you can dispose of your waste with exceptions of commercial, construction and demolition waste at the Edward River Council (formerly Deniliquin Council) Landfill Depot.
Details are below and we hope that many residents get the opportunity to go and properly dispose of their waste ensuring that nothing like couches get left scattered amongst nature or along the highways like people around the world are known to do.
OPEN WEEKEND AT EDWARD RIVER LANDFILL DEPOT
As part of the service offered to residents, The Edward River Council Landfill Depot will be open for residents to deliver waste at no charge on the 18 and 19 June 2016.
Any waste delivered must be sorted into steel, glass, paper, green waste and general waste as per the normal requirements.
This shall include the disposal of Mattresses, Refrigerators and other White Goods and Furniture. This is for residential properties only and does not include commercial waste or construction and demolition waste.
This service is for residents of the Edward River Council area and proof of residency may be requested by Council staff.
If you have any questions regarding these changes please contact Council on 03 5898 3000.
