The height of the Edward River as of 6am is 9.16m, it is down 3cm from the same time yesterday.

The current advice from the BoM is “The Edward River at Deniliquin peaked at 9.19 metres around 01:30 am Tuesday and is currently at 9.18 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.”

Residents of Davidson Street, Evans Street, Fitzhead Street, Gibbs Street, Herriot Street, Hodgkins Street, Jefferson Street, Jones Street, Lackington Street and Morris Street are now advised to evacuate by 10am on Wednesday.

The evacuation centre at the Stadium is open, open hours are 9am to 5pm every day.

The height of the Edward River as of 6am is 9.19m, it is up 1cm from the same time yesterday.

The current advice from the BoM is “The Edward River at Deniliquin may exceed the major flood level (9.40 metres) around Wednesday. The river level may reach 9.60 metres around 24-26 November, with major flooding.”

26.8mm of rain fell around town over the course of yesterday.

6154 customers lost power at 6:08pm last night and another 1982 customers lost power to the west of town.

If you would like to help with sandbagging efforts, go to Saleyard rd between 9am and 5pm today and bring a hat, sunscreen & a water bottle with you.
