The National Bridge is currently getting a makeover and this means that things are going to be a little slow when it comes to going over the river.

As you can see above, this was the action on Davidson Street earlier in the week and there was a long queue of cars trying to get towards the CBD.

Those of you who have read what we’ve had to say over time may recall that we had a discussion of what happens if the bridge is out of action, the repainting partially answers the question.

But it all should be worth it in the end, the bridge should look fantastic and though we’re not sure if it would bring joy to tourists, it will still look nice to walk or drive over.
