Edward River peaks at 4.29m

Deniliquin residents can relax now as the Edward River peaked today with the water level getting up to 4.29m.

The 4.29m level is 31 centimetres below what is considered to be minor flooding for the area (4.6m and up) although some low lying areas near town are a little wetter than usual.

Stevens Weir is also expected to have it’s water level peak below minor flood level whilst Barham is recording a level that is at minor flood levels.

ABC Riverina has proven to be a great source of information when it comes to warnings and BOM’s river height data is valuable to those needing to know how high the river is.

DNS will advise readers if anything changes in the future.
