The second week of byes got underway today and so with the sun setting on this Saturday, all eyes will be on next weeks games as it will be Round 8 of the Football and Netball season.
There is representative football news in this edition as several Rovers have been part of the League side over the last two weeks and we’ll look at next week as the season resumes for both Football and Netball.
Football
As mentioned earlier, There was football action today with several Rovers participating in representative football for Picola.
Under 12’s Rovers Tom Blake & Hayden Mowat were part of the Picola side that was in action today.
Picola’s Under 17’s side featured Rovers players John Allitt, Ryan Murray, Ben McCalman, Daniel Kirby, Joab Weir, Jackson Campbell, Josh Flight, Blair Sartore, Jaidyn Caniglia and Nick Hay.
It should also be mentioned that last week Under 14’s Rovers players Ben East and Brock Thomson were last week part of U/14 Picola side.
Next Week
All Rovers teams are back in action next week with Tocumwal traveling to Memorial Park to take the Rovers on.
Tocumwal is having a good year so far in Netball with their A Grade side running first, B Grade running fifth, C Grade running first, C Reserve running third, Under 17’s running first, Under 15’s running third and Under 13’s are running fifth in their respective competitions.
Rovers are also running strongly with the A Grade side running third, B Grade running first, C Grade running second, C Reserve running second, Under 17’s running first, Under 15’s running sixth and the Under 13’s are running first in their respective competitions.
Tocumwal’s Football sides are having a mixed bag of success with the Seniors running 5th, Reserves 6th, Under 17’s seventh and Under 14’s are running third.
Rovers Seniors are running third, Reserves second, Under 17’s first and Under 14’s are running fourth in their respective competitions.
