Rovers Talk (5/5/16)

Round 6 is coming up and for the Rovers it is their final game before getting the bye in Round 7.

The Rovers opponent for the week is Mathoura and it is an away game so all the Rovers are taking the short trip to Mathoura and hopefully coming back to Deniliquin with lots of wins and no injuries.

Netball

A Grade is 3-2 for the season and they are looking to not only win two in a row for the first time this season but also get their total of wins further away from the number of losses, their opponents are looking for their first win of the season after three losses and a draw.

B Grade has won all five of their matches this season and will be going into this round with winning six in a row before having their break, their opponents are struggling with one win from four matches but that does not mean success is a certainty for the Rovers

C Grade’s winning streak ended last week at the hands of Strathmerton but are looking to start the winning streak again at Mathoura’s expense, Mathoura are currently winless after their four matches of the season and will no doubt be aiming to get their first at the Rovers expense.

C Reserve are in fine form with three wins in a row and will be eager to make it four straight before the break, C Reserve have the toughest assignment of the seniors on paper as Mathoura have a 2-2 record this season.

A Grade (3-2) vs Mathoura (0-3-1)
B Grade (5-0) vs Mathoura (1-3)
C Grade (4-1) vs Mathoura (0-4)
C Reserve (4-1) vs Mathoura (2-2)

Next up we take a look at how the Junior Netball sides are going at this stage of the season.

The U/17’s are in undefeated form and there is no reason why this winning streak will not go into a sixth game on the weekend, they take on a side that is currently 1-3 for the season.

The U/15’s have had a tough season which just one win from five matches but the silver lining is that the side has played very competitively in their losses so Mathoura would be unwise to think they’ll add another defeat to the Rovers total.

The U/13’s are undefeated just like the U/17’s and will no doubt be aiming to make it six from six at the end of the day to make it the perfect start before the bye, they take on a side that is 1-3 at this point of the season.

U/17’s (5-0) vs Mathoura (1-3)
U/15’s (1-4) vs  Mathoura (0-4)
U/13’s (5-0) vs  Mathoura (1-3)

Football

The Seniors are in great from as they have won their last two matches and are looking for three in a row when they take on Mathoura who are two wins behind them and aiming to win their second game of the season.

The Reserves are undefeated and are looking to continue their streak against their Mathoura opponents who have been in good form this season as they have only lost one game this season.

The U/17’s are running as well as the Reserves are and are no doubt out to make it six in a row when they take on their opponents on Saturday, Mathoura are currently struggling as they are winless after four matches but that does not mean it be a certain win for the Rovers.

The U/14’s are looking to get back on the winners list after two consecutive losses and they have every opportunity of doing so this weekend as they take on a Mathoura side who have won one game from four matches.

Seniors (3-2) vs Mathoura (1-3)
Reserves (5-0) vs Mathoura (3-1)
U/17 (5-0) vs Mathoura (0-4)
U/14 (3-2) vs Mathoura (1-3)

DNS wishes all the Rovers sides the best for this weekend and may all sides get through their games injury free.
