No change in Algae levels

On this World Water Day, DNS reports that the DPI has recently updated it’s report on the Algae situation in the Edward River and it’s branches.

The report is that the Red Alert level is steady for Gulpa Creek as well as the entire Edward and Wakool River system.

This update is no doubt what farmers and residents have not been wanting as it this situation has now dragged on for several weeks, some residents and farmers believe it is the Murray-Darling Basin Plan that is responsible for this problem and it’s annihilation will be what is needed to reverse the situation.

As with previous reports, please keep yourselves, fellow human beings, pets, stray animals and farm animals away from any affected areas.

DNS will continue to report on the situation as it continues on.
