DNS’s Christmas Playlist

Christmas is just a few short days away and we offer readers a playlist of songs that may or may not make their Christmas playlists.

These songs are by a variety of artists, some are world famous like Elvis and some are making their way through the music world and you may be impressed enough by what you saw to see more of their recordings.

We hope you will enjoy what is below and have a great Christmas.

Christmas 2016 Weather

Christmas 2016 is shaping up to be warmer than last year according to Weatherzone’s forecast as of late December 22.

Christmas Eve is currently in line to be mostly sunny and reach 38 degrees with a 50% chance of rain whilst Christmas Day is expected to be sunny with a expected maximum temperature of 39 degrees.

If it gets to 39 degrees, it will be five degrees hotter than last year and it will be more of the same on Boxing Day  with 40 degrees predicted but the good news so far is that cloud will be increasing on Boxing Day and there is a 90% chance of 1 to 5mm of rain falling.

Winds for all three days are expected to be reasonably low with the mornings expected to be the most windy points of the day but it will be picking up on Boxing Day.

Unfortunately for locals, Maximum temperatures are not expected to drop below 36 until at least December 29 so make sure residents that you and your pets are well hydrated.

These temperature predictions can change as weather forecasts always do and we’ll do our best to keep you updated by updating this story if the maximums rise or fall and if rain is coming or going.

The Deni Pokemon Wrap (6/12/16)

Pokémon Go Deniliquin

Pokémon Go Deniliquin is now down to 180 members and is seemingly on the downturn.

For those who want to see memes, stats and other news visit the Pokémon Go page that has over 2.9 million likes.

It does appear that there will be new Pokemon and new rules in the offering for gamers who still play the game that briefly took the world by storm.

There is the possibility that business will pick up over Christmas because there is not much to do during that time though gamers must remember they cannot play in their cars.

Pokémon Shuffle News

Past and present locals are still making progress on Pokémon Shuffle.

As you know our two regular gamers Boony and Tiggy are racing each other on the mobile version of the game with Boony sitting on Stage 190 and Tiggy has moved up to Stage 207 and we will continue to follow the race as it progresses.

Boony still has a lead on Tiggy when it comes to totals of Pokemon caught with Boony boasting a total of 196 Pokemon to Tiggy’s total of 184.

Pokemon Sun and Moon

Pokemon Sun and Moon is still getting a workout and we will get around to reporting on all the goodies and baddies of the two games real soon.

We’ll be back next week with a new edition of The Deni Pokemon Wrap.

Poll results (29/11/16)

Poll numbers have been down on previous editions with just a handful of votes cast on each question.

Question 1 asked if there should be a 7 day a week Youth only Community Centre and 71% of responders said yes.

Question 2 asked if Deniliquin needs bins outside the CBD and 100% of voters said yes to that question.

It may be possible that we will revisit the Community Centre question in the future to see if we get more opinions or not.

It is conclusive that locals want bins installed outside the CBD to combat the rubbish that is dumped on footpaths and nature strips, it may not eliminate the problem but any improvement would be nice also the retrieval of rubbish could lead to jobs.

Thank you to all readers who voted.
