Rovers Talk (21/4/16)

Round 4 is coming up this weekend and this week the Rovers are taking a little road trip out to Jerilderie with the aim of leaving the town with as many wins as possible and keep their good run going.

Netball

Rovers Netball teams won all of their games last week against Picola United and they are aiming to do the same against Jerilderie.

A Grade are looking to back up their solid performance against Picola United by winning their second match in a row, B and C Grade teams are looking to extend their winning streak to four matches and C Res are hoping to follow A Grade in winning their second game in a row.

Jerilderie’s Senior teams have played  two games this season compared to the Rovers three and have had mixed results so far with a win and loss in their two games of competition this season.

Jerilderie’s Juniors have had greater success with two of their three Junior sides being undefeated, the Rovers also have two of their three sides undefeated at this stage of the season setting up an interesting weekend of Junior competition.

Below we have how all sides are going at this stage of the season

A Grade (2-1) vs Jerilderie (1-1 and a bye)
B Grade (3-0) vs Jerilderie (1-1 and a bye)
C Grade (3-0) vs Jerilderie (1-1 and a bye)
C Res (2-1) vs Jerilderie (record uncertain)

Under 17’s (3-0) vs Jerilderie (2-0 and a bye)
Under 15’s (1-2) vs Jerilderie (2-0 and a bye)
Under 13’s (3-0) vs Jerilderie (1-1 and a bye)

Football

Rovers Seniors are 1-2 at this point of the season and are looking to turn things around after a 76 point loss to Picola United last weekend at Memorial Park.

Jerilderie’s Seniors are 0-2 and they are hoping to notch their first win of the season at the expense of the Rovers, if the Rovers win they have a chance to pass Strathmerton (this weeks bye) and Mathoura who are also on four points.

A Jerilderie win would put them equal on points with the Rovers though the Rovers currently have a 37.86% percentage lead over Jerilderie therefore the positions would not change.

Rovers Reserves are 3-0 and are top of the ladder going into this weeks game whilst Jerilderie are winless after playing two matches and are no doubt hoping to win and get off the bottom of the ladder whilst the Rovers aim to win their fourth in a row.

Rovers Under 17’s are top of the ladder with 3-0 and Jerilderie are running third on the ladder with a 2-0 record just like their Reserves team making this clash another interesting game to see.

Rovers Under 14’s are 3-0 at this point of the season and are running second on the ladder, Jerilderie are running third with 2-0 and once again this game will be an interesting clash as both sides aim to keep their unbeaten record going.

Don’t forget Rovers fans that next Saturday night is the Mystery Function, express your interest in going by visiting the event page, the event is free, food will be provided, drinks are at bar prices and the dress code is wear whatever you like.

Rovers Talk will be back with a new edition on Saturday afternoon or night with all the results.
